I am here to rant. (=P)
I am having a tough time in school despite this week being my first week in NUS. Only lecture has started but I am already finding it 'mission impossible' to understand every single thing/word the lecturer was saying. The reason being the strong accent. Most of my lecturers are foreigners or been in another country for a whole time and thus having a very strong British/American/Japanese accent.
It is also quite frustrating to get to school as I have to endure a total of at least 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours of MRT plus bus journey just to get to the school. I am still unfamiliar with the school compound. At present, I only know how to get to 3 lecture theatres, canteen, central library, bookshop, multi-purpose hall, Yusof Ishak House, Student Service Centre and a few more places. By the way, just my school alone has 7 blocks; and lectures and tutorials are all spread out among these 7 blocks plus I have a lecture in School of Computing which is on the North-east of NUS when my school is on the South-west. Totally different end. (T_T) I hope I will survive this semester. Pray for me.
